We have a number of locations below to choose from for the 6-hour rides. A minimum of 6 people is necessary to ride at one of the off-site locations. Additional fuel charges are applicable.
- Umstead State Park in Raleigh — An 11 mile curvy, sloping, pebbled path through the woods. Includes glimpses of wildlife and 2 river crossings: one through the river and one over a manmade bridge. Offers excellent trails for beginners but interesting and challenging enough to be enjoyable for more experienced riders also. Camping and other activities are available at Umstead. - Tobacco Trail in Apex — A nice bridle trail currently under development. From Raleigh: 30 min.
- Raven Rock State Park between Kipling and Lillington — Consists of 2 loops totaling 7 miles. One of the loops goes down to the Cape Fear River. Wooded with some hills and small creeks. From Raleigh: 45 min.
- Occoneechee State Park in Virginia near Clarksville — Nearly 15 miles of scenic bridle trails. Fishing, boating, and camping are also available. For park fees and info, refer to http://www.dcr.state.va.us/parks/occoneec.htm. From Raleigh: 45 min.
- Buckhorn in Corinth — Wooded trails with lots of hills and creeks. A great ride! From Raleigh: 1 hour.
- White Oak Mountain in Virginia — Moderately rolling hills with mostly wooded trails on 2,712 acres. The area is dotted with ponds that range in size from one-half to six acres. The area's meandering northwest boundary is formed by the Banister River. From Raleigh: 1 hour.
- Little River Trails in Lillington — 17 miles of trails located along the Upper Little River. Mostly flat and sandy trails. Can camp overnight. Bathhouse with hot showers. Fishing available free to campers. From Raleigh: 1 hour, 15 min. Minimal facility charges are applicable. Call for quote.
- Buckhorn Reservoir near Buckhorn Crossroads just inside Wilson County — Ride down to a reservoir. Wooded trails offer an interesting ride. From Raleigh: 1 hour, 30 min.
- The Moss Foundation in Pinehurst — sandy and wooded. From Raleigh 2 hours.
- Hoffman — sandy and wooded. From Raleigh: 2 hours 15 min.
