My wife, myself and two young children (ages 7 & 5) were visiting family in NC and my 7 year-old daughter loves horses and asked to go horseback riding. We were recommened to Dead Broke Farm. This was a wonderful place where all the horses were so beautiful and the people were so kind. I was a little nervous about my 7 year-old riding alone, but they assured me that "Pocohontos" was gentle and loved to ride with the children. And she was -- She was the perfect horse! Everyone who worked there was very knowledgeable and the atmosphere was very comfortable and natural. They also let my children pet and play with the other animals on the farm, such as baby bunnies and guinea hens. The horses here are well-groomed and obviously very loved! When we visit again, I will not hesitate to go there. This will always be a part of our future vacations to North Carolina; and you could not beat the price for such an experience. It was so reasonable.
