Dead Broke Farm

My 8 year old daughter attended camp at Dead Broke Farm this week and had an absolute BALL! She has learned so much about the care needed to keep a horse and even more about the proper was to handle and ride a horse. Miss Jean does a great job at making the kids feel welcomed and there are so many different activities for the kids to do. I am amazed at how much my child has learned and grown from this experience! Prior to attending the camp we went on a trail ride with a large group of people. We had three trail guides with us: Carla, Marisa, and Brooke. They were all so very helpful in assisting any needs anyone had. I saw Miss Carla at her finest when handling a rider that was not responsive to requests or happy with the initial horse. Miss Carla gave this rider her own horse to ride to keep the guest happy. In addition, because of this delay, our ride was extended! I loved how Miss Brooke took the time to teach everyone how to brush, saddle, and ride the horse. It was like we had our own private riding lessons. Dead Broke Farm is a welcome change of pace from the normal hustle and bustle. Its country right in our very own back yard and worth a visit!
