Birthday Parties

We offer many options for Birthday Parties depending on the children’s ages.  You can choose the one that best meets your needs and budget. We will customize the party to suit you.

There's no limit on the number of children that can come. It’s a real riding experience. We have a picnic table on the premises so you can serve your birthday cake and open presents.  We also have a jungle gym, merry-go-round, and a swimming pool available.

Rates

Ages 2 - 5:

You'll have the horses for 1 hour. The children are hand-led on a 20 minute trail ride through the woods, so they have a real riding experience. They're not just led around in a circle inside a riding ring or around the barn. Since each horse can do the 20 minute ride 3 times in an hour, you'll need to divide the number of children by 3 to arrive at the number of horses you'll need.

You're welcome to use the shaded picnic area when the weather's warm, or the heated clubhouse when the weather turns colder. You can have as long as you'd like to open presents, serve cake, play on the jungle gym, merry-go-round, and swim (if you choose to add the swimming pool for an additional $100). Riding helmets are provided at no additional cost for every child.

Ages 6 and up:

Each child will be riding a horse of their own. You will have as long as you'd like to open presents, serve cake, play on the jungle gym, and swim (if you choose to add swimming for an additional $100).

Note: Children must be at least 6 years old to ride on their own.  If your child is 6 years old or older, and you would like for the children to be hand-led and share horses, choose the option for children 5 and under.  Riding helmets are provided at no additional cost for every child.

In order to help keep our prices down, we request that you PAY IN CASH. We accept Mastercard, Visa, and Paypal for the deposit, but If you choose to pay the balance with a credit card you will be charged a 4% processing fee.

Schedules

Children 6 & up who are riding on their own, use the regular trail riding schedule. Children 5 & under use the schedule below.

The schedule below refers to the starting time of the ride. Please plan to ride first and have cake and open presents after the ride.

If it rains, we will simply reschedule for you.  You can pre-select a rain date to include in your invitations for any day except the day immediately following the originally scheduled date. If you will have children attending the party whose parents will not be attending, you will need to have the children's parents sign horseback riding liability forms in order for them to ride.

5 years old and under: Horseback Riding Release for Children 5 and Under

6 years old and up: Horseback Riding Liability Release

Corporate Events

Come to Dead Broke Farm to enjoy a fun, outdoor company outing. You can go horseback riding on over 10 miles of beautiful, wooded trails and picnic in the shade of old oak trees. You can bring in a caterer, entertainment, or speakers. If you prefer to do your own cooking, we have a grill on site. You can do team building exercises on horseback or some of your own, and you can relax and cool off at the pool.

Other Large Groups

If you have a large group of any type, we can accomodate you. We offer a discounted rate for youth groups such as Brownies, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, YMCA Y-Guides and Princesses, Homeschoolers, and Church Youth Groups. Basically you deduct $5/person off of the price of any of the price points provided on the Trail Riding page.

We also offer field trips to day care facilities and schools. Field Trips include a 10 minute horseback riding demonstration; a 30 minute guided trail ride' access to the picnic area, playground and swimming pool; and exposure to lots of other farm animals such as ducks, chickens, bunnies, turkeys, pheasants, peacocks, guineas, dogs, and cats. Field trips usually last about 4 hours and are generally scheduled from 10am - 2pm, but the schedule is flexible. The cost is $15/child.
